Let's face it. I'm a peanut butter addict. If I were told tomorrow I'd never be able to eat pb again, life would be over as I know it. For the past several years, this has been my breakfast. Hot cocoa, (now made with almond milk) and an english muffin with ample amounts of peanut butter melted and dripping on top. Dipped in the hot cocoa, melting into my drink. For this reason, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. No other breakfast fare comes close, or is acceptable. I ran out of my peanut butter two days ago. Not to fret, Ken was going shopping in the middle of the night,(if you read my blog you know this is Ken's favorite thing to do and my least.) and assured me I'd have my beloved butter for breakfast. So when I got up yesterday, anticipating my morning delight, I was mortified to see that Ken had indeed not gone to the store, and I had NO peanut butter!!
I ended up eating egg and toast. My least favorite. I can't even explain how not having my dream breakfast effected my day! I was in a terrible mood, I guess you'd say peanut butter withdraws. I went after breakfast and bought a jar. Guess what I had for lunch!? And Ken? He came back from his shopping trip with extra jars. I'm set!

OOOh, I love it, too, my Dear! Melty, warm PB on toast...Ummm! I have not tried the "Nutella" types (Jif has one out now) ~ my teenage son loves them, though...:)
Hugs,
Anne
I love peanut butter, too, and I have a recipe here for one fabulous peanut butter creation.
Spread nice warm toast with crunchy peanut butter. Add a strip or two of crisp bacon (yes, really!). Top with a thin slice of onion (yes, really!). It makes a lovely lunch. I know it sounds odd, but oh, is it ever good!!!
We do get into these habits, don't we. I love English muffins, too, Wolfermans. And butter and coffee. Other things will work but this is my favorite. Diane
I love peanut butter too! But I don't eat it every day, and I've switched to low fat. Have you had fluffernutters? They're peanut butter on rye topped with marshmallow cream. Yum!
Me too! I eat it every day sometimes breakfast on toast or lunch or evening pill time. Helps the medicine go down !;-)Good on graham crackers and vanilla wafers too or just a big spoon full!
I am a Skippy Gal. We buy the big jars from BJ's and it never goes bad!

There are 2 jars of pb in the cupboard, 1 in the shed (extra groceries), and 1 in the truck (just in case). Couldn't live w/o it! :)
My favorite is banana oatmeal (the banana makes it creamy) and peanut butter. PB just makes everything better doesn't it?
Haha - you and my son. He has had pp every day since he was a wee boy.
Happy Sunday!

It's a favorite in our house too and Sam eats boatloads of it! If you want to attempt to save on the calories and fat, I recommend trying PB2. I know it sounds odd, peanut butter powder reconstituted with water, but it's pretty darn good and it drops the fat from 15gms to 1.5gms and calories from 180 to 45! You can find it here:

Oh yeah that sounds like the perfect breakfast to me. I have a few requirements of my own. Enjoy! Pearl
