Today is our 17th anniversary. On a date that was chosen by Ken because he knew he wouldn't forget my birthday the next day.I find it hard to believe we've been married that long. It seems it was just yesterday I looked out the door into the sanctuary while waiting for my walk down the aisle, to see family and friends , and several other people who were not invited, and people who rsvp'd they couldn't come sitting there. But then looking to the front, and seeing the beautiful flowers, the wedding banner on the wall, and my parents who were so happy for me, and Ken, looking so dashing in his blue dinner jacket and ivory pants, the rest didn't matter at all.
Now Ken is gray, so am I, He's a little more plump, I still am, but I can honestly say that through the spats and disagreements, occasional money problems, and differences of opinion, we have grown accustomed to each other, and fit like an old shoe. Comfortable, yet a little more worn. We love each other, and that's what matters.
