Miss Lily

Remember Lily? My great nephews baby goat?  Well she's growing like a little weed!
I have so much fun with her, she and her mother Lucy enjoy their daily romps between our two yards, and provide so much entertainment. Lily is a riot, leaps and jumps, runs and even tries to climb the trees!
Here they walk the planks in our yard,
clearing their path of grass and dandelions as they go.
Until Jacob tells them it's time to go in for the night. He's such a good daddy!

From Pinterest to my Front Door!

I've always wanted a wreath on my front door. They make a house look so homey. I've had a Christmas wreath I hang, but that is the only one. So when I saw this wreath on Pinterest, my recent obsession, I knew I could do this without a lot of money!
This is my interpretation of this beauty!
I took some little flower pots I had painted with lady bugs, added some dollar store flowers
Along with this little inspiration plaque. I'm really pleased with the finished project, and now have so many plans for this wreath! Fourth of July, fall, Halloween, Christmas; too bad I missed Easter, but there's always next year!

End of an Era

Wow. It's hard to believe that Dick Clark has died.  As a teenager, American Bandstand was a Saturday standard.  The bands and groups that debuted on his show were a big hit to my sisters and I.  I remember the Jackson 5, The Osmond Brothers, and The Commodores just to name a few.  I loved Rate a Record, where a new song was played and dancers had to rate how well they thought it would do.  His voice, his charm, his never aging appearance will remain unforgettable to me.
I loved watching $10,000 and $100,000 Pyramid, and still watch in syndication. And of course, New Years Eve in Times Square.
He'll be missed, by the generations that got to know him.
We'll miss you Mr. Clark,  God Grant You Eternal Peace.

Mini Vacation

I just returned from a mini vacation north to see my brother and sister in law. An added bonus, I got to meet my nephew Kevin's wife, Crystal, and my grand niece, Rainy Marie!
Rainy turned one today, and is a little punkin!  She has the biggest blue eyes, and smiley personality.
just like her Mom!
My brother Jay has been busy for the past several months building a sauna, in the traditional skills way, same as the cabin.  It turned out amazing. He even made the shingles for the roof from fallen trees on his property.
The inside is so beautiful, and smells heavenly.  The stove heats the sauna to the perfect temps,
for a cleansing sweat bath.  Not for me though as I really have a low tolerance for heat and humidity.  But to admire the results of his hard work is enough for me.  He never ceases to amaze me!

Mom Meets Isabella

Isabella is my sister Wendy's new grand daughter!
The perfect little bundle of joy.
Mom was able to visit Wendy today and meet Isabella during her home evaluation.  To say Mom was awestruck with her is an understatement.  It was love at first site.  Now to get Mom back to Wendy's, which will be in one week.

Love Struck!

I have a new great niece!  Welcome Isabella Camille!
