Canadian and American Shorelines

I had Ken take a picture of Bobby and I, next to the Blue Water Bridge, connecting the U.S. to Canada for my banner. Here is a picture of the two spans, the one furthest over being the original, and the closer one a few years old. I'm not quite sure of the reasoning for the two because traffic is still no smoother or the waits any shorter!  But they are impressive, with thousands crossing the borders daily.
This picture is of the train depot which sits under the bridge spans, and where young Thomas Edison sold news papers daily.  It's been made into a museum, and it and the train both contain really interesting artifacts from archiological digs where the Edison home sat, not far from the depot. When Micky Roony was the main character in the movie "Young Thomas Edison", parts were shot in front of this depot, and he stayed in our oldest hotel, the Harrington which is now senior housing.  Port Huron has many historical sites, which I will share in the weeks ahead!
