Needlework and Bluebirds

Today I spent a very relaxing day sitting in my Adirondack chair, doing my embroidery and watching the bluebirds feed their young.
Dad made this bird house from a hollow tree branch, and it, along with several others, hung from the trees in our front yard. He also made bluebird houses, one of which I have, but they preferred this house. It hangs from the pine tree by my chair.
I watched as the mother and father took turns feeding the three babies nestled in the house.
I was able to aim the camera inside to get this quick picture between feedings. This little one looked right up at the lense. It was worth the wait!
I hope all of you had a wonderful fourth!

Oh how fun to get that last picture of the baby. Love seeing the birdhouse too. You are so fortunate to have bluebirds nesting there.

I didn't realize you had bluebirds there. You're so fortunate. They're so beautiful, and to get the picture of the baby!! Thanks for your comments Laurie. Hope you've enjoyed the 4th. Diane

What a cool idea your Father had to make a house for these beautiful birds. No blue birds here either, sounds like you had a wonderful day. We just watched the 4th of July shows right off our balcony, we don't have to go anywhere and fight the crowds. We have 8 shows all at the same time. We are blessed. Have a great week girlfriend!
