O.K., I notice almost everyone knows how to do this but me: click on a name in your post, and it automatically goes to their blog or site, without having to add the http. How do you do that!?!?!?
Laurie, After you write their name, highlight it. Then click on the link icon in the toolbar of the new post, and you enter the blog's www.address. Remove that first http thing. I usually copy and paste their blog address from their blog for doing this. Any other questions email me. I think that should do it. OH, year use the new post screen where you see the pictures not the screen that shows the jibberjabbercodestuff code for the picture instead of the picture
AverettLadyNana is correct but I will be more basic. On the Blogger tool Bar at the top of your blog click on New Post. It will bring up a window where you can type your post. There are 2 tabs on the top of that window that say Edit HTML or or Customize. Just above the typing window there are icons that are for different actions. On the Edit HTML it is the 3rd fro the left. It looks like a green frog to me. On the Customize window it is the 5th one from the left. Now you know what you are looking for. Type your post or at least up to what you want to link to. Go to the web address you want to link to, highlight the web address, either including the HTTP:// or not and copy it. Flip back to your post - BTW I have my post and what I what to highlight in different windows. Now that you are back in your post, hightlight what you want to link to ex: Jan said I would hightlight Jan then move your pointer over the frog looking thing, click on it. It will bring up another window that starts with http:// (that is why I said you could copy that part or not) place your cursor in that little box after the http:// and paste what you copied. Hit save and magic, you have created the link. I always check the link to make sure it works before I publish the post. Each time I check the link I save the post (Which saves it as a draft) then click the link. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance you can contact me.
