Life can take so many different routes, twist and turns one would never expect.
This has happened in my life. When I was in eighth grade,
I joined a youth group at a friends church.
One day I stood in the pulpit in the sanctuary, and had to give a short talk.
It was at that moment I knew that one day I would like to become a pastor.
Well, I'm humbled and honored to say, that dream has come true.
I am set to begin my journey to become a local pastor in
the United Methodist Church.
Something I would never have thought possible,
yet through the Grace of God,
I am starting that journey. I ask your prayers as I begin this process,
and look forward to the day I can serve God as one of his teachers.
Blessings to everyone,
Laurie

I am cheering for you as you pursue this exciting calling.
WONDERFUL!! I am not religious but I AM spiritual and I applaud your chosen path. My grandson is the director of the youth groups at a Methodist Church in Elkhart Indiana. He relates so well with the kids and I am always proud and surprised how he incorporates the Bible into their activities.
Congratulations.

God bless you and be with you in this wonderful new journey you have begun! So happy for you!
Hi Laurie! Oh, how nice to see you still here too! I almost stopped blogging but just couldn't do it. Oh, what a sweet story about taking your little mother on rides. I used to do the same with mine. That's a lovely painting you've created and such a sweet memory. Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
