Yard and Garden Work

It's been a busy week-end, cleaning and planting in my gardens.
Ken finally put my arbor back up,
the burning bushes have really taken
off this year.  I planted wisteria on
either side of the arbor. I can't wait
for the blossoms to open, and see it fill
the whole structure and the fences.
He also added the fence to the back of my rock garden.
I cleaned it out, and am happy to see my irises
starting to bloom.
Marti had given me several of her irises, this is
one of my favorite colors.
The trellis is loaded with honey suckle flowers,
and the hummingbirds have been really
enjoying their nectar.  It sits in my garden to the
right of our front door.
To the left of the door the plants are growing
equally as well.  My Spider Wart has taken off,
and the cat mint is beautiful.
I love bumble bees, and this one kept me
entertained for some time as it went from
flower to flower on the cat mint.

Coming in for a landing!
I put my little cement angel bench here
and planted a small barrel of flowers to
sit on it..  The Spider Wart is also in
full bloom.
My prayer garden, planted in memory of Marti,
is once again taking shape.  I've planted several new
flowers in the bed, and hung a plant there .
I'm very pleased with how it has turned out.
Now I'm ready to tackle the beds at the sides
of the house.  After my knees get a rest.

Beautiful! I've barely started on my gardens. Mom's memory garden is finished and doing well. I have lots of work to do in Marti's and in the Peace Pole garden. You've done a beautiful job on your gardens. It will be motivation for me to get busy!
