Where Do You Go to Be at Peace?

Marilyn, in her blog Delights of the Heart,
asked a couple days ago where you go to be at peace.
To answer her, I will share my spot.
I have a prayer and meditation garden, that I planted
after the death of my sister Marti.
It has become my outdoor chapel, my sanctuary
where I go every morning to sit in its
silence, and say my prayers and meditate
on the beauty that surrounds me.
The wind chimes along side me are my chapel bells,
and the birds and the breeze blowing through
the pines that surround me add
a beautiful chorus, my own personal choir.
The stone in front of St. Francis was
painted by Marti just days before her death,it reads,
"May the words of my mouth
and the meditations of my heart
be pleasing in your sight Oh Lord,
my rock."
Yes this is where I sit in peace, and
give thanks to God, pray for those in need,
and begin my day.
Where do you find peace?

This is a blissful and blessed spot in your garden, and the old fashioned wooden swing is perfection. How good your sister inspired this garden.

Thanks, Laurie for linking to Delights of the Heart. Your garden has grown so much since I last saw it and just a beautiful, beautiful place to go and sit with peace. How very special.

The garden is beautiful, Laurie. You're blessed to have it.

I find special peace every morning while I walk with our dog in the woods. It's a wonderful time with the Lord.

I find such peace when I walk Rascal along the creek - cares just seem to fall away. Diane
