Christmas Treasures

Today I finally decided to take down the tree,
and store my ornaments for another year.
But before I do, I want to show you
some of my favorite treasures.
Forever loved will be the ornaments
of my childhood that hung from our
family tree.  Losing Mom, I'll treasure
these always.
These are porcelain hummingbird ornaments
I collected from Bradford Exchange,
I've had these rocking horses for some time, and
hope to collect more in the future.
These two peacocks are from my nieces,
it started out as a joke several years ago,
but when they bought these for me this year
I have to say I really quite love them!
What is a tree without birds?
This gorgeous hummingbird is from
my niece Robyn.  It's so beautiful, isn't it?

These are just some of my snowmen.
And these crystals are from my son Chad.
I love how they catch the light on the tree,
and of course he knows my love
for hummingbirds!
Now the tree is packed away, and I already
look forward to next Christmas, when
they can be displayed again,
hopefully under better circumstances.

So many pretty decorations! It's always fun each year opening up the decorations and seeing all the lovely things you forgot you had.
Happy Sunday Laurie!

Your ornaments are beautiful, Laurie. The ones from your Mother will only grow dearer with each passing year. Blessings, Diane

I so love the ornaments that have special places on the tree and in our hearts. I am looking forward, too, Laurie, to putting up my Peace tree and snowman tree next year.

Oh wow your ornaments are gorgeous!
I love each and everyone. I think if I had a tree like this I would have to leave it up a lot longer. lol
Wanted to come by and wish you a Happy New Year
