The most beautiful, uplifting memorial service for my sister.
The bagpipe, music, the homily were all so comforting.
For her not to think her life was much, was totally in dispute today,
for as well over 200 were in attendance; the church was packed,
and the following luncheon. Many tears, both of sorrow and joy,
I hope she looked on and really grasped how many lives
she touched in such a beautiful way.
 God Bless You Marti,
and may the angels guide you home.

I didn't even know your sister, Laurie, but I felt so sad when you lost her. How wonderful that the memorial service showed how many lives she touched (and I'm sure many were not there, too, some people don't attend many memorial services or funerals, but they celebrate that life in their own way.)I'm that way. I hope you and your family found some closure. Blessings, Diane

I am so sorry for your loss of your dear sister. I know this must be such a difficult time for you and your family. The memorial service sounds like it was a beautiful tribute to her - and bagpipes should always be heard when we are saying good-bye to our loved ones (our own family tradition as well). HUGS to you!

Laurie, whenever someone dear to me goes to be with the Lord, I always remember that heaven is a place of constant reunions, that the Lord has everything prepared for our arrival, that memory is sweet but that seeing our dear ones again will be gloriously wonderful. Oh, the goodness of our Heavenly Father and our wonderful savior Jesus Christ!!!

Laurie,
What a beautiful picture of you and Marti. It brought tears to me eyes all over again. What a blessing you shared this day together...I share your loss and miss my best friend so very much. It hurts so much........we hold each other in prayer and she looks down on us.
