I don't understand
how this world has become
so full of hate.
I don't understand
how a love of weapons take
precedence over compassion
and love for fellow human beings
who are the victims of violence.
I don't understand
how groups of non believers
can start movements
and promote laws that take
any religious artifact
out of public buildings.
I don't understand
how one nation, under God,
can turn its back on those
who are less fortunate.
And one thing I am really
having a hard time with,
is how there are so many
filled with hate,
who escape every
consequence for their actions,
while one who is a man
of the cloth, who has dedicated
his entire life to God,
can be inflicted with such a
horrifying, fatal disease
as ALS, and doomed
to a horrible, inhumane death.
I don't understand.
I just don't understand.
And it's breaking my heart.

We've lost so much. When nations refuse God, when God's people refuse to accept their responsibilities, when we forget what this nation is supposed to be, when we fall for lies like "Your government will take care of you," and "We're all you need," then this happens. The Bible is so clear:
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14
Anything other than following what God has set before us is wicked. Oh, we MUST PRAY!!!
It's sad what goes on in the world today. It makes you wonder how someone can be so full of hate. Very sad.

There will always be evil and depravity in our world. We Christians of all faiths need to stand stronger and more united than ever against the forces that would destroy us.
I still hold fast to Romans 8:28 that ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Even in the face of sickness and death. God is still on the throne and Prayer is still our invitation into His Presence.
I like what Mr. Rogers mom told him about scary things, to look for the helpers..there are always helpers. So True
I'm new to your blog but felt that I had to comment on this post. I have often - so often- felt the same way you do. A feeling of hopelessness and sadness enveloping me. Then I read 2 Timothy 3: 1-9 and I am encouraged! Here Paul speaks of the godlessness in the last days and describes our society almost perfectly. I am encouraged because God knew from the beginning of time that this is what the world would come to, yet He has promised that He is in control, that this is what is going to happen, but that He will come again - Hallelujah! Our God is mighty and in control and will come again.
Blessings to you today,
Shirley Ann
