Great Books!

Rarely do books come along that can keep you coming back for more.  But thankfully, I've found such a series, through Guideposts.  Tales From Grace Chapel Inn is a series about the Howard sisters who have turned their family Victorian home into a Bed and Breakfast after the death of their father. With 47 books in the series, it's easy to get caught up in the tiny village of Acorn Hill, the characters who live there, and the experiences of the sisters as they run the inn.  It's so good to read books that are free of sex, swearing, and violence. Books with Christian morals and stories. There are many series of books available through Guideposts, and individual books also. So if you want some excellent reads, check out Guideposts.org and find what interests you.  So many books, so many choices!

Oh, I love books, too, and I refuse to read most modern works because I find them offensive. It's one thing to tell a great story; it's quite another to use gratuitous violence and sexual situtions. If you haven't read the Mitford series by Jan Karon, I highly recommend it! I am a Dickens fan, and I also love histories. I'm currently reading a book about Teddy Roosevelt, a patriotic history of the US, and a re-wording of The Federalist Papers.

There is a new series through Guideposts that I ordered. I'll let you know when I receive the first one. It had something to do with lighthouses so I had to order it :)
