Beautiful or Creepy?

I guess it depends on if you have arachnophobia or not. I'm not fond of spiders, but will look at them. When we were kids, these garden spiders were in abundance. I haven't seen one for many years. I was surprised to see this one in my tomato patch, hovering above three big red ones I was ready to pick. Needless to say, they're still in the garden!

Seems like everytime I go into the garden I come out with bites from "something"! This spider is creepy to me but a nice capture Laurie. Diane

Great picture. It would only be creepy if it were crawling on me!

I remember as a kid watching those spiders from the alcove in the dining room. It seems there were always a couple of them spinning their beautiful webs. They were fascinating to watch with the security of a glass window between us. And I do love their colors and markings (from a distance) :)

I do not do spiders and snakes well! These here are called garden spiders and we have them from late Summer through Fall. They love to build webs in doorways too and between porch poles. We have had all kinds of spiders this year in the house! Orkin says it has come from our mild Winter and warm/hot Spring and Summer.
I take out a web in a corner and next day it is back!

As long as they are non-venomous and OUTSIDE, I am fine with them... lol!
