Mini Vacation

I just returned from a mini vacation north to see my brother and sister in law. An added bonus, I got to meet my nephew Kevin's wife, Crystal, and my grand niece, Rainy Marie!
Rainy turned one today, and is a little punkin!  She has the biggest blue eyes, and smiley personality.
just like her Mom!
My brother Jay has been busy for the past several months building a sauna, in the traditional skills way, same as the cabin.  It turned out amazing. He even made the shingles for the roof from fallen trees on his property.
The inside is so beautiful, and smells heavenly.  The stove heats the sauna to the perfect temps,
for a cleansing sweat bath.  Not for me though as I really have a low tolerance for heat and humidity.  But to admire the results of his hard work is enough for me.  He never ceases to amaze me!

Glad you enjoyed yourself there Laurie. Rainy is so cute and just as you say, so's her mom. Why don't you bottle me up some of that smell of the sauna next time you're there - it sounds wonderful. Diane
