What a Trooper!

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and kind words. I would like to let everyone know that prayers hold such power. Mom was cleared for surgery, and yesterday had her hip repaired. She came through the operation with flying colors! Today they had her walk a short distance to a chair where she was able to sit for some time before they had her walk back to her bed! Mom never ceases to amaze me. She'll go to rehabilitation probably on Tuesday or Wednesday, then back to Wendy's. Eighty five, and still going strong. Praise God!

It sounds like you've (all) been on a roller coaster ride in the last few days! I'm really glad your mom seems to be out of the woods. WHEW! Thinking of you (and her) and wishing all the best. Hugs, Amanda

Oh Laurie I have not been to your blog for awhile, life seems to get in the way these days. I am so sorry that your mom had to go through all this. Thank heaven all turned out ok. She is a trooper and so are you and Wendy. You are in my thoughts.Sharon
