Wood or White?

I was reading Wendy's blog, The Crafters Apprentice, and it gave me the inspiration to fix up this antique doll bed I had gotten at a friends yard sale. So here is my dilemma.

I'm not sure whether to leave it untouched, as it is antique and I like the wood, or paint it a nice clean white as it would be much nicer. So what do you think? Wood, or white!?

My opinion is leave it natural wood just clean it up. I'm so sick of white all the time. Just depends if you want it sheshepoohpooh or rustic. I have to admit that it makes me sick when people take a beautiful antique furniture and paint it white. but that's just me :)

If you plan to sell it as an antique you should leave it as it is. If you want to enjoy it for yourself paint it what you like. Thanks for your note. Diane

I'd clean it up and then let the bedding I'm sure you'll make :) brighten it up. Love Ya!

I think I'd paint it white, then digress it and rub with minwax. White but still a little rustic looking.

Either option is great. Go with your gut feeling . . . and enjoy it no matter what!
