Pleeeze Don! Can Melinda Have a Chicken?

I know you would really like them, they're such friendly little creatures who really like to be around people.

And besides white
they come in so many different, pretty, colors.

Feed time is so fun, rattle the food container and they'll follow you anywhere.

And think of all the eggs you can use for yourself, or sell. No worry about e-coli. Really, they are a lot of fun, besides being practical! So think about it Don, they don't go in the house, they fertilize your yard, the manure is great for the garden, free eggs, meat if you want to go that way, and free entertainment! What more could you possibly want!? Plus, they would make Melinda really happy, and isn't that what you want? Huh?

What beautiful chicken pictures. I especially like the one with the girl feeding them, really a perfect picture. Don sounds like my husband - "NO BEES!! NO!" Diane

We have tons of them around here and every day I leave my house I have to stop and let them (with Guinea Hens) cross the road!

Bribery will get you anywhere. Even in hot water. LOL Love the black and white one!

We LOVE our chickens..although from afar..they belong to the neighbors! We sit in our yard and watch all their antics..I'd love to have some of my own.

Don, don't be 'chicken'! You'd be "egg-stra" special to Melinda..and "Urban chickens are "the thing" :-)

Really cute post!! I see that Melinda got a "maybe next spring" from Don after reading your post. I was thinking she'd get a couple for her birthday a couple of weeks ago....
