With my appointment approaching for my next A1C and full bloodwork up results, I was dreading being put on insulin, which I knew was going to happen because I couldn't get my sugar under control. A week ago I was flipping through the channels and started watching a program on PBS about reversing diabetes. With Ken's full support, I plunged into the vegan lifestyle, and can't believe the difference this has made in my life. I have started a blog diary of this journey, and welcome you to follow along on this amazing trip! Please come over, and I welcome you comments!

Good luck with the vegan diet. How wonderful to have something to give you hope.
Wow, wow, wow Laurie! This is so very exciting to hear. I read through your diary and was amazed as well. Heck, if this is what it takes, you KNOW it will be SOOOOO worth it girl. I see people every day with advanced diseases due to their sugars being out of control for years, and I so admire your taking control of your health like this. YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Wow - you just go out there and do all you can! We'll be praying ans watching right along with you..I had a friend that went vegan (not for the sugar thing) but she feel and look wonderful! They may just be on to something....
Hey Laurie! You and Wendy will have to come visit me in the spring next year!! Cause it looks like were not getting into the house until November sometime. I'm serious honey you will have to be my first guests!!! Life is good. Hope all is good your way, say hey to Miss Wendy.
The BEST thing you could have done!!!Laurie ~ every ailment I have ever had including hyperthyroid ~ was cured through prayer and going organic ~ also having greens the centerpiece of my diet!
I do tend to revert back to my old way which I have to work on but I know this will be the answer for you!!! 3 cheers for you!!!!!
Organic Noni seems to do wonders ~ I get it by the case on line.
Hi Laurie..
well isn't that interesting..
I have been type 2 diabetic for a few years and always had perfect readings using the Metformin orall medication. I got sick last year and had to take prednisone which shot my readings up into the 20's.
I was put on insulin which got things back to normal... Presently I am weaning off the insulin and as I lose the weight caused by the prednisone, things are looking better. HOWEVER... I do notice my readings are better when I don't eat meat..... Interesting....
I will check out your other blog with interest.....
thanks for sharing this info..
xoxo
((((hugs))))

Good for you. I can't read your blog diary for some reason, will be going back to try again. I am glad that you have found something that works for you. I always feel better when I eat "right" why I don't do it all the time, baffles me. Keep it up!
Cathy
