I'm having a very nice time here in Johnston, Iowa. My son Chad and my granddaughters Tara and Kiley are keeping me occupied, and very much entertained! They have such fun sense of humors, and dinner time is never dull. I laugh so much here!
I had intended to finish several sewing projects while here, and each of the girls got a sewing machine from their other grandparents, so I wouldn't have to bring mine. Well, they left the machines there when they moved! So I'm going through withdrawals!
Chip and Bobby had upper respiratory infections, airborne, and can't be around other dogs so Chip had to stay home. :( I just talked to Ken and he and Andy are doing quite well, Chip was a stinker at first, but is now adjusted well to me not being there. I miss him and Andy, can't wait to hold them again!
Meanwhile, Winston, Chad's dog, has been my sidekick during the day, we are inseparable! He's a HUGE chocolate lab, the size of the dane I had. And such a sweety. I took lots of pictures, but for some reason I can't get them to download here. When I do, I'll be sure to post!
Tomorrow, I go for a haircut and a manicure. I've never had my nails done before, so this will be a treat. Chad gave me the money and told me to go pamper myself! The neighbor lady here gave me the name and address of her beautician, so that's where I'll go. She also gave me a long list of places to visit so I programmed them into my GPS, and will go exploring this week-end.
I'll post some more when I can get some pictures to download!
Everyone take care,
Laurie

sounds like your gonna have some fun!
Hey girl! So glad to hear your having a wonderful time. Laughter is the best medicine. Your going to be having to much fun for sewing projects so all works out in the end. I can't wait to see the pictures. Best Wishes, Pearl
Sounds like you are having a great trip! Ours was fun. Worn out! Came home a day early. Animals were stuck to us like glue when we got home! Guess they missed us!
