O.K., I'm not afraid to admit it. There is a dark side to my house. It's called, "The Junk Room". Originally, this was to be my craft room, but it ended up being the "Land of No Return." Please tell me you have one of these. A place that anything and everything that doesn't have a permanent home, or anything that needs a temporarily permanent place to rest, ends up residing. Eventually, opening the door is like going into another dimension!
Well, I am officially declaring war! Pray for me, I'm goin' in! Junk, beware! Long lost items I don't have use for, out! Poor pathetic items that have been crying out "Help Me", I'm on the way! Bins and garbage bags in hand, I will purge all of you! Gone are the days of lining my bedroom with craft supplies while junk has a place of comfort and royalty! Soon my beloved necessities of the trade will reign supreme, and I will dwell in order and sanity! And yes, you, my dear blog friends, will be the first to see the results, and will be able to rejoice with me and my things, neat, tidy, organized, and ready for the new year! Yes, I'm goin' in. Let's pray I make it out!

Oh Laurie don't do it. I tryed this last year and my friends and family didn't see me for weeks. All they heard were strange noises coming from the room. A "few" dust bunnies I encountered were given names. We became very close. I will pray for you. Should I send food.....LOL Sharon PS. if you get this before entering the ROOM I left you a message about ciggies on my blog!
Oh my gosh, what guts, what courage! Not only to post the pic, but to decide to go in. I wish that I had your strength!
Can't wait to see what you do.
ahhhhhh, I know it well....the land of no return. I hope you are able to surface soon with beautiful photos. I love that kind of cleaning when the difference is so obvious. Although finding a place for everything is usually a challenge. Good luck!!!!
Oh, I can't wait to see your new well organized, beautiful room. I see some shelves in the corner. If you can, maybe you should go buy another one or two and line them up on the wall, oh, and some bins. I'd love to be there to help you. (I don't know about that chair, though, SA maybe.)
Just came across your blog today so I thought I'd leave a comment. Good luck organizing your craft room. You'll just have to keep going at it in segments with breaks in between. I like your blog.
Good Luck! Can't wait to see the finish result. I wish I had a room for my sewing/crafting stuff. I have a corner of our bedroom I use. Of course not enough room...hence...stuff in closets throughout the house and in areas of two other bedrooms. I need to dive into these various areas and get it organized in some fashion...I would love to take the smallest bedroom and make it into a sewing room...just don't knew where I'd store the bed and really don't/can't get rid of it.
Laurie, I am afraid that if you go in, you may never find your way back out!
Mine was my son's room. Scary!
Good Luck and if I don't hear from you in a few days, I am sending the troops in to rescue you! :)
Good Luck! I have a "Junk Room" too and need to go in. Maybe you will inspire me.
I came across your blog quite by chance. Just wanted you to know you're not alone......AND very brave to reveal your special room :) I really would not know where to begin here in my mixed media madness!
Happy New Year!
Whew! Go for it girl! It feels so good to throw out, give away, and let go!! I felt so good after I did my room that I'm still throwing stuff away. I love having room, and life is not all about stuff. (though I do need some stuff)Good luck I know it will be great! Take your time but keep on track. (easier said then done)
