Iowa and Loving it!

We've arrived in Iowa! Here are Tara and Kiley, silently sleeping as I snuck into their room.

And No, they did not appreciate the "Smile When You Wake Up, Be happy and gay, and chase all your troubles away" song, in Mimi tradition, singing it at the top of my lungs! Ah yes, let the fun begin! Watch out little ladies!!

Time Heals All

From these two little kittens,

to these two beautiful cats. Toby and Tyler are now 6 months old, and THEY'RE MINE!

Tyler is now totally tame, with me anyway, has the most sissy meow for such a big boy, and my big lap cat. Toby is also a lap cat, and both are spoiled rotten. And, they're here to stay.

An Evening With the Wee Ones

I had the joy of watching the kids tonight, and loved every minute.

Kayla loves to hold her little brother, who by the way is growing bigger every day!

Jenna played with her balloons, and Preston threw up on me every way he possibly could!

But throw up washes away. The precious memories will last a life time!

One More Week!!

And we leave for Iowa to see my son Chad; Jenny and the girls!

And enjoy the fun and antics that will entail! I can't wait!

Home From My Get Away!

Ahhhhh! Rested! I just got back from up north, Ken's working on the kitchen so I needed a place to go for a week. Here's some of the great sites I saw while on my visit.

This heron was in their pond. When I got too close, it flew up into the trees and stayed there while I got these great shots!

Cheryl and I had to stop at her veterinarians office, and were blessed to see this new born miniature donkey! I've never seen one these colors, isn't she the cutest!?

We went to the Paul Bunyon Festival, and got to see some fantastic chain saw carvings.

The kitchen is far from done, if I didn't have a meeting today, (I was top loser this week!) I would still be there. I'm half tempted to head back up, as Ken isn't in the most pleasant of moods as the flooring and plumbing are giving him a problem. I'm always game for relaxation up in the forest!
