It's Give Away Time!!!

I can't believe it's been a year already since I started to blog! And a great year with you it's been.  I have made so many friends, found people from all over the world to share our ups and downs, laughter and tears, fun and sorrows.  You have all made my world a much better place with your stories, words of encouragement when needed, and gave me many a laugh with your funny day to day experiences and views of life.  You've given me wise words to ponder, and added different slants to lifes little happenings!  I cherish you all! So in honor of you my friends, old and new, I'm having this give-away!   What I have for the winner is first, a Victorian crazy quilted boot stocking.  This was so fun to make, and hope the winner likes it!  Second, a little holder for  two of your favorite puppy's pictures.  I made this out of  a box that AOL sent sample cd's in.  Then a handmade heart ornament, a Christmas towel, and a potpourri burner with cranberry tarts.  Click on the picture to see close up!

Just A Picture of a Mother and her... Daughter?

No, you're eyes do not decieve you, Mitzi is "nursing" on Molly. Since the day Mom brought Mitzi home, she has taken Molly as her new mother. she "nurses" herself to sleep nightly, which is one of the big reasons she was so happy to see Molly move in with us. And Molly? She is quite content to let her. Even though she isn't a tiny, 5 week kitten anymore, (she was taken away from her moma way to early) Molly still baby's and takes care of her.  The wonders of nature!

Update on the Update That Was Updated!!

Well I just got back from the doctor, and here is the prognosis: severe tendenitis, arthritis, and narrowing of the something that I don't remember what he said.  Then he showed me where all these are located on my arm and shoulder, and gave me my options. First, a steroid shot. Forget that, they'd have to pick my fainted body off the floor. Second, take steroids for nine days, there we go, I can do that, if the syptoms worsen or don't seem to be getting any better during that time, I will have to go have an MRI done to see if it is the rotor cuff. You were right on with that one Lola! I told him I'd do that, and during that time I can do basically nothing with my left arm. NO lifting, crafts, driving, riding in the car, nothing!! I'm not supposed to use the computer unless I can comfortably type with one hand.  The great thing about all of that!? NO dishes!!!!! My husband will be slave to the kitchen, I will have to supervise though to be sure he is loading the dishwasher properly, I'm very picky about that!  And NO laundry!!  And NO cleaning the toilet or scouring the sinks!! Dear Hubby gets a taste of it all, and I get to be the boss! Ah life is wonderful. The pain in my arm is transfered to my pain in the.....well maybe I won't go that far, but after all he is retired and now he gets to see life on the other side of the fence. And he is a good sport.  On the down side, I get to walk around smelling like Pepto Bismal from the cream I must put on my arm, and up the hotflashes from having my arm glued to the heating pad.  but hey! It's worth it to be rid of it!

How it's going, or not

Well here we go with another week of fun.  Our insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care, and we can't afford it, so dr. put me on muscle relaxers which are taking their sweet time kicking in.  I was referred to a specialist, and my appointment is for, get this, November 3rd. What!? You're kidding me!! I'm on the cancellation list, so hope that brings it closer.  Thanks for all your support and prayers again, you are all so special.
Blessings, Laurie

Update

Thank-you to all of you for your prayers, and well wishes.  You are all special friends, and my angels.  Unfortunately, I am not feeling any better, in fact the pain in my arm is getting worse.  I've done everything the doctor has said, but am slowly going out of my mind.  I'm going to see if our insurance covers a chiropractor, I don't know what else to do.  Please keep the prayers coming, those I can feel..  Thank-you my special friends,
Blessings,
Laurie
